We offer classes in the internal arts of Tai Chi, Qigong, Far Eastern yoga/meditation (Dao Yin), and Aikido. Our goal is HEALTH and WELLNESS. Our focus is on beginners first and foremost: without a sound grounding in the basics, intermediate and advanced practise is not possible. Membership currently only includes men and women ranging in age from young adult to senior levels. Of special interest to those with health concerns, we offer clinically tested approaches to Tai Chi. These courses – offered at Stanford University, Harvard Medical School and elsewhere – have been shown to be effective in managing stress, post-operative recovery (including chemotherapy) and many chronic disorders. Benefits have been found for people with arthritis, asthma, headache and migraine, diabetes, hypertension, osteoporosis, sleep disorders or other common ailments.
